The protection of minors defines the following statutory framework for the dispensing of alcoholic beverages.

Under 16 years old:	Vending (off-licence or across the bar) and consumption of all alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
16 years and above:	Vending and consumption of beer, mixed beverages containing beer, sparkling wine, wine and mixed beverages containing wine are permitted.
18 years and above:	Vending and consumption of spirits and mixed beverages containing spirits, as well as all other alcoholic beverages, are permitted.
